Recorded in Janaury 2004. The video begins with a nice view of Waikiki from my balcony at the Hyatt Regency. After a brief tour of the Hyatt Regency I made my way down to the beach across from the hotel. Next I went to the top of the Aloha Tower. The Aloha Tower is a lighthouse that is considered one of the premier landmarks of the state of Hawaii. Opened on September 11, 1926, the Aloha Tower is located at Pier 9. It has and continues to be a guiding beacon welcoming vessels to the City of Honolulu. At 10 stories and 184 feet of flag mast, for four decades the Aloha Tower was the tallest structure in Hawaii. Next I journeyed into downtown Honolulu and visited the State Capitol and Iolani Palace. The video concludes as I look out onto the Pacific Ocean from the far west side of Oahu.
