Hi everyone, welcome back to ClevverMusic, I'm Bridget Daly with breaking news. Michael Jackson's children, as well as his mother Katherine Jackson, have just received a payout from the late singer's estate. According to Billboard, Katherine, Paris, Prince and Blanket received a preliminary payment of $30 million from Jackson's estate. It has generated more than $310 million in the two years since his death, which has prompted Katherine to ask for the executors to negotiate the purchase of a new home for her and the children.
No word on whether the executors will agree to this, but they've been busy eliminating Michael's numerous debts he had at the time of his death. They were also able to make money off of the This Is It film which helped them pay off his taxes and various bills. A hearing has been set for later this month to decide what will happen next.
