Books: Mostly Tech books relating to Audio Recording Technology, Antique Radio/Stereo Restoration guides. Astronomy and Space books, when I have time that is.
Movies: In all honesty, and in this day and age of the web, I don't spend much time in front of TV anymore, lets just say I have a cross sampling of various and mostly comedy based, as well as some Sci-Fi shows I enjoyed from my youth on forward, with a few more added along the way as I grew older. Movie wise, I have a variety of movies that I enjoyed over the years, old Musicals, Sci Fi, some Drama based as well, and a few others.
Music: I have a wide variety of styles, genres, and eras to numerous to break down into" ideal favorites" as I have many from across the spectrum, covering many years as well as the wide range of different styles involved, it is constantly evolving all the time as I find archival recordings to listen to and covert into digital files.
Hobbies: Collecting Antique Radio/Stereo components and systems, right now I have a small but growing collection. (See LLOYD'S SMALL & SLOWLY GROWING ANTIQUE RADIO/STEREO MUSEUM) collection on my MYSPACE link at bottom in website section, I do have a photo here of my main vintage system as my profile, and background photos. To go along with the above, I also collect, and archive old, rare and hard to find vinyl and 78 rpm records of many genres and eras of music, as well as old tapes(especially home recorded family memories worth preserving for current and future generation relatives) by using today's technology to convert these old memories into digital format files for ease of access, and saving on the original by not playing it over and over again every time you want to hear it. I think of the audio recording medium sort of as a "time machine" so to speak in that you can revisit a sound made in a past time, much as photos and the motion picture/video mediums do for capturing sights from the past. I also have interests in Astronomy, and Meteorology as I have always been fascinated by the way nature does it's magic in both outer, and inner space.
I been collecting for a number of years and here is some of my best finds. Enjoy!
